Your Colorado Local Solar Experts

Solar that still pencils out — plus the upgrades to power your whole home
The federal tax credit for homeowner-owned solar changes after 2025, but that doesn’t mean solar is “over.” At Solar Wave, we’re adjusting with the industry so you don’t have to become a policy expert.
In 2026 and beyond, we’ll continue installing high-quality solar and battery systems with discounted cash pricing and a new PPA option through Lightreach, so you can choose the structure that fits your budget and risk tolerance.
We’re also expanding beyond rooftop solar to support your entire home energy needs - Electrical panel upgrades, EV charger upgrades, and standby generators for customers who need deeper resilience.
Same Solar Wave team, same craftsmanship — just more ways to keep your home powered.
Your Choice: Ownership or PPA
Ownership w/Discounted Equipment
If you prefer to own, Solar Wave can source quality components at discounted prices. Some high-performing products in today’s market don’t meet FEOC compliance for third-party ownership/PPAs, but they’re fully listed, warrantied, and installed to code. By using this broader inventory on cash/loan projects, we pass the hardware savings directly to you—often lowering your total project cost without compromising reliability.
Pros: You own the system and home value add, lower lifetime costs, upside is all yours, Maximum flexibility to expand or add battery storage later
Cons: Upfront capital required. You fund the project (or finance)
Best For: Homeowners looking for higher long-term savings, Home value add, and flexibility to sell their home/expand on their system in the future.
Lightreach PPA
Skip the large purchase and lock in a predictable per-kWh rate for clean energy. Solar Wave designs and installs your system, while Lightreach owns it and covers monitoring, maintenance, and performance. You pay for the power produced—no big upfront expense, no surprise service bills. Great for homeowners who want immediate savings and resilience without owning the equipment.
Pros: No upfront costs, pay only for what the system produces, Lightreach is responsible for maintenance, monitoring, and warranty
Cons: You do not own the system, possible rate escalator, total lifetime costs are higher than ownership, term & transfer restrictions (Moving/selling the home may require buyer assumption or a buyout)
Best For: Homeowners who want no upfront costs and hands-off maintenance

Evaluate Your Financing Options
Solar Specific Lending
We have several solar-specific lenders that provide unique terms designed to fund your solar project as frictionless as possible. These are generally referred to as choice loans which require $0 out of pocket and provide the lowest payment options. Most can be paid off with no early payment penalties and terms vary from 5 years to 25 years. You should know that the majority of these loans have fees so we highly recommend you evaluate all your options side by side.
Colorado RENU Loans
The Colorado Residential Energy Upgrade (RENU) Loan is a statewide residential loan program sponsored by the Colorado Clean Energy Fund in partnership with Colorado-based credit unions. RENU offers the lowest interest rates with no fees and provides straightforward terms for your project. If you are interested in financing we highly recommend this route and can help you evaluate your options.
Purchase Outright
Purchasing your solar panel system outright will provide you with the best payback and instant equity in your home. We have very flexible terms requiring just 10% to begin your project, 40% at the time we start your installation, and the remaining 50% when we have completed your project.
